Outfitters & Rentals

Surrounded by natural beauty and protected lands, Dubois abounds in unsurpassed opportunities for exploring. Much of our area is shaped by volcanoes and carved by glaciers, shifting from high alpine desert to brilliant arid badlands within a few dozen miles. Whether you choose horseback, on foot, bike, boat, or ATV, exploring our great outdoors has endless options.

Horseback Riding

If Wyoming is the ‘Cowboy State’, then the land around Dubois is horse country. Trips can range in length from as little as an hour, to a full day, or even a couple of weeks. In our mountains you’ll see wildflowers, mountain peaks, rivers and streams—all virtually untouched. Multi-day pack trips can be customized to whatever you want to see, and outfitters provide you with everything. All you need to bring is a sense of adventure.

Pack trips are customized to your must-see list, and outfitters provide you with everything, even cooking a hearty meal after a long day on the trail. All you need to bring is a sense of adventure.

Spend a day spotting elk, marmots, or bighorn sheep. Cast a line in one of the wild streams. Take a dip in a cold stream, fed by snow runoff from the mountains.

For adventurers traveling with their horses, you will find a few corrals and ranches so your horse can be just as comfortable as you are.
