Join us for Open Chess Play at the Adult Ed Cyber Center building in Dubois. Players ages 12–99+ are welcome to stop in, play a few games, meet other chess enthusiasts, and sharpen their skills in a relaxed, friendly setting. No registration is required—just show up and play!

New to chess? Start with our Intro to Chess session on March 17, where beginners can learn the basics before joining the open play sessions. Whether you’re brand new or a seasoned player, everyone is welcome at the board. ♟️

A two-actor tour of “Shakespeare’s Greatest Scenes” in local schools, libraries, and community centers throughout Fremont County.

The 60-minute performance will include excerpts from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Hamlet, As You Like It, Romeo & Juliet, and The Taming of the Shrew.
Each performance will be followed by a 15-minute
talkback with the actors.


This performance is FREE and Open to the Public.

Step into the world of traditional craftsmanship with master saddle maker and leather carver, Steve Mecum. Kids will get an up‑close look at saddle making and leather carving are created — a hands‑on art form that has changed very little over the years. 

These timeless skills are still used today, and Steve brings them to life in a way that sparks curiosity and creativity in this Bailey’s Tire & Pit Stop Children’s Exploration Series program.

Vietnam Veterans Recognition Day – March 28
at The National Museum of Military Vehicles.

10:00 AM – Special guided tour of the museum’s Vietnam War Gallery to provide historical context and honor the service of Vietnam veterans.

12:00 PM – A Wyoming Army National Guard Black Hawk helicopter landing at the museum, delivering the Governor and First Lady. The helicopter will remain on display for visitors throughout the afternoon.

1:00 PM – Wyoming Veterans Welcome Home Day Ceremony in Cowboy Guard Hall, featuring remarks from state leaders and recognition of several Wyoming veterans.

Following the ceremony – Screening. of the WyomingPBS documentary Home from the Vietnam War, telling the story of Wyoming Vietnam veteran Lt. (Ret.) Lee Alley.

After the film – Panel discussion and public Q&A with the film’s director, Lt. Alley, his wife Ellen, and Vietnam War refugee John Nguyen.

This special day honors the service, sacrifice, and stories of Vietnam veterans and offers the community a meaningful opportunity to say what many never heard when they returned home: Welcome home. 🇺🇸
