Fremont County School District #2 consists of two buildings serving approximately 250 students. The elementary and middle schools are housed in one building. Grades K-5 are self-contained with 93 students. The middle school houses 63 students with a transitional sixth grade classroom and departmentalized grades 7-8. The district shares staff between buildings for art, music, physical education, counseling, media specialist, and school nurse. Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) is contracted to provide a full-time speech pathologist and other needed special education related services. The central office consists of a superintendent, curriculum director, and business manager.

The Central Wyoming College main campus is located in Riverton, eighty miles from Dubois. The Dubois Outreach Center serves the residents of the Upper Wind River Valley by offering a variety of classes and by acting as a local office for the campus. Residents may register in Dubois for on-campus and distance education credit classes. In addition, a wide variety of general interest classes are held in the Dubois Community. Community classes include, but are not limited to such subject areas as computers, art, sports, history, cooking and more. Additionalluy, there are over 300 online non-credit classes which residents may also choose from.
